New Zealand police is yet to release report on the group that is behind this dubious attack.

This was slightly different to previous statements that multiple vehicles had been found with explosives attached.

One witness, who did not want to be named, told CNN that he was driving by the mosque but pulled over to help when he saw people lying on the ground outside. ''I was driving by, I saw people lying in the ground so I pulled over and then once I got out of my truck I heard all the gunshots going off,'' he said. ''So am just trying to help them and one guy just looked like he was gone.''

He said he saw a man with a ''with his 3 or 4-year old daughter'' who had been shot in the back.

''He was screaming like get her to the hospital and the ambulance couldn't come in until it was secured so I just got my truck and loaded up him, and his daughter, and this other guy had been shot in the leg, and took them to the hospital,'' he said.

''The effectiveness of interdiction and close air support missions conducted by the attack aircraft of the two countries facilitated the routine of the terrorists at Arege, resulting in the killing of 33 fighters, destruction of some terrorists equipment as well as the recovery of an array of weapons and equipment'', he said, noting that the attack was aimed at routing the remnants of the Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the Lake Chad Basin area.

In Zamfara, the Air Force also carried out ''air strikes around Kagara, Gando, Fankama, Fete and Dumburum forests during which successes were recorded''.

Tomato Paste Production Resumes In Kano, As Dangote Urges Nigerian Government To Enforce Importation Ban

Fresh Tomato Plant In Kano
It's being four years since the suspension of production at Kano factory, the Dangote Tomato Processing Plant has resumed operation with a call on the Nigerian government to enforce importation ban on the commodity.

During the official reopening of the plant in Kano on Wednesday, the Managing Director of the factory, Abdulkarim Kaita, lamented that despite the ban on the tomato paste importation, the commodity was still being smuggled into the country.

According to Kaita, such practice is a snag on the local tomato farmers and industries as a whole, adding that most of the imported tomato pastes are mostly substandard, mixed with additives.

Mr. Kaita, however, noted that the enforcement of the ban would consequently boost local production and help the federal government save billions of naira from the cost of importation of such commodities that could be produced locally.

''Our major challenge is the importation of tomato paste. The federal government has banned the importation of tomato paste but the federal government did not enforce the ban, that is why we still see the commodity making its way into our markets. This means it is being smuggled into the country.

''Therefore, I call on the federal government to enforce the ban and ensure that the product is not smuggled into the country anymore. This would save the government billions of naira and improve local industries like ours, as well as improve the income of local farmers.

''That is why we called on the government to enforce the bank on the importation of tomato paste and its smuggling like it did on rice, ''he stressed.

The MD noted that the Dangote tomato industry, located in Kura Local Government area of Kano state was established to help local farmers reduce losses incurred from rots as a result of lack of modern preservation techniques.

Mr. Kaita also revealed that at the beginning, the factory was producing 1,200 tons of fresh tomato per day, equivalent to 40 trucks, but due to the scarcity of the commodity, it would now be operating on at least 100 tons per day.

He expressed optimism that the factory would improve on its production, just as it reached an agreement with the local tomato farmers on the price of tomato that is pegged at market price.

MNJTF - Boko Haram In Disarray After It's Fighters Stranded With No More Supplies And Numbers Killed

Boko Haram
The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in Chad, has came out to say that the leadership of the Boko Haram terrorist group is currently overwhelmed and in disarray.

The Chief of Military Public Information of the MNJTF, Timothy Antigha confirmed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Timothy, a colonel, said the group was overwhelmed after a sustained air and land attacks in the ongoing ''Operation Yancin Tafki'' in the Lake Chad region.

He also said ex-fighters, who were ''receiving humane attention divulged that morale and fighting spirit of the group's fighters is very low''

Mr. Timothy further stated ex-fighters as saying that development is as a result of growing insecurity and inability to replenish stranded fighters in the islands with food, medicine and ammunition.

The MNJTF spokesman said an integral part of the operation is a series of well ''coordinated day and night Human Intelligence as well as Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, ISR missions.''

He said the missions were being conducted by the Air Forces of the Lake Chad Basin countries-Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria.

Mr. Timothy explained that this led to devastating air interdiction which destroyed Boko Haram logistic facilities and fighters in Tumbun rego and Dagaya environs between 7 and 11 of March.

He further added that in the last four weeks of the operation, 70 Boko Haram vehicles, mostly, gun trucks and facilities such as fuel dumps, weapons and ammunition were destroyed.

''Furthermore, since the commencement of operation Yancin Tafki, several terrorists have surrendered while others are battle-weary and have indicated interest to surrender.

''Morale of the fighters is at its lowest, while desperation has also set in, leading to intrigues and in-fighting,'' according to Colonel Timothy Antigha.

He said a reliable source has confirmed that internal crisis led to change of Boko Haram leadership on 3rd of March 2019. Mr. Antigha said the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) sacked the Boko Haram factional Chief, Abu Mus'ab Al Barnawi and replaced him with Abu Abdullahi lbn Umar Al Barnawi.

According to him, the frequent execution of Boko Haram commanders and fighters which have been observed in the past few months as well as recent replacement of its leadership are clear indications of effectiveness of past and ongoing operation Yancin Tafki.

Mr. Antigha said the Joint Task Force is poised to sustain current operations until Boko Haram capitulates and its leadership is brought to justice.

Developing Story - Emerging Video From The Airplane Before It's Final Silence

Some Of The Cabin Crew
A Nigerian Born Canadian Professor, Pius Adesanmi among the passengers who loss their lives on the crashed Ethiopian Airline Flight.

The aircraft, Boeing 737 Max-8 carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members, lost contact with air traffic controllers 6 minutes after taking off. It crashed near Bishoftu, southeast of Addis Ababa as said in a statement released by Ethiopian Airlines.

The airlines said there were 32 Kenyans, 18 Canadians, 8 Americans and Seven British nationals among the passengers.

Pius Adesanmi

Adesanmi flew on a Canadian passport. He posed with the passport in the last picture he posted on Facebook and wrote: ''If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me - Psalm 139:9-10''.

Mr. Pius Adesanmi was a celebrated author who despite residing abroad in Canada kept in touch with his Nigerian audience fervently back home. Friends and well-wishes have since taken to social media to mourn the late scholar.

Following this recent deadly incident, China has just announce the grounding of all its Boeing 737 Max-8 planes.

One Mr. Charles Imuzeze said: it's too early to speculate! All we know for now is that the B737 Max is a brand new aircraft. It's faster, more economical and lighter. Although last year, a B737 Max belonging to Lion Air in Indonesia went down the same way, just 6 minutes into flight. For now, it's up to Boeing to ground all B737 Max aircrafts till the FAA NTSB comes up with what might have gone wrong.

American Airlines (AA) grounded their fleet after the Lion Air crash October 2018. I can only wonder why other airlines didn't follow suit.

Below is the video that a passenger recorded before the final silence of the aircraft. R.I.P to all onboard.
