Governor Zulum's Unexpected Late Night Visit To Hospitals

It was gathered that at about 1am early morning after mid-night, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum pays an unexpected visit to Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital as well as the State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri.

Unfortunately at Umaru Shehu Hospital, the Governor could not find a single medical doctor on duty, as a result of their absence the Governor had to place a phone call to all 10 medical doctors, but to his greatest surprise, none of them answered the call not knowing it was the Governor that was calling.

He went round all the wards to see the situations of the patients and later requested for the hospital's staff pay book and made role call.

The Governor also paid a similar visit to the State Specialist Hospital, unlike Umaru Shehu, some few medical doctors were on duty at the Specialist Hospital when he arrived.

However, the Governor was not satisfied by the quality of services rendered at both hospitals.

In the East African country of Kenya a viral photo's and videos has been trending for days now, of a pastor in Kenya who hired a white man to play Jesus.

Southern And Middle Belt Leaders Rejects Abdulsalami's Invitation To Attend Meeting With Miyetti Allah

Abdulsalami Abubakar (Former President of Nigeria)
The forum of Southern and Middle Belt Leaders yesterday, declined an invitation by former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar on a round table discussion on national issues and security scheduled to hold in Minna, Niger State.

Leaders of the SMBLF declined the invitation over the inclusion of Miyetti Allah to the round table describing it as "a grave insult" to them.

"This was contained in a letter titled - Re: Round table on National Issues and Security and signed by Chief E.K Clark (PANDEF leader), Chief Ayo Adebanjo (Afenifere leader), Chief John Nwodo (President of Ohanaeze) and Dr. Pogu Bitrus (President of Middle Belt Forum).

The statement as addressed: "We individually received your invitation to the above event holding in Minna between 29 and 30 July, 2019. We thank you for your interest in the affairs of our country which made us accept your invitation in good faith.

"It was in the thick of our preparations for the journey that fuller details of the round table came to our attention, some aspect of which has necessitated this last minute communication with you."

"We observed that the round table will have in attendance all the National Security Heads, Chief of Defense Staff and notable Nigerians, underscoring the high level of the consultations.

"We however, noticed that in your category of Socio-cultural organisations invited, you listed the following: PANDEF, Afenifere, Ohanaeze, Middle Belt Forum, Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Leaders Forum and Northern Elders Forum. We were comfortable up to that point until we saw the following: Gan Allah Fulani Development Association and Miyetti Allah.

"While we do not know the members of the first group, the lumping of Miyetti Allah, a trade association for cattle herders and whose members have been accused of various violations of rights, including life, across the country sends a worrying signal to us.

"It falls into the categorization of our respected socio-cultural platforms with Miyetti Allah by Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu.

"We consider the above a grave insult on our bodies and our coming to a round table with the group would mean acquiescence to the narrative that put us in the same bracket with those wielding illegal AK-47 all over the country and inflicting terror on fellow citizens.

"Even if the above was not the case with Miyetti Allah, bringing a trade group like them in the same vehicle with the nationalities organisations would not have been appropriate as there are organisations of their category for fishermen, farmers, spare parts dealers and poultry owners among others across Nigeria who are not invited.

Towards this end, we decline participation in the round table as scheduled without prejudice to your peace building effort which is appreciated.

"We regret inconvenience our decision may cause you as we know the efforts that go into putting events such as this together.

"Rest assured of our cooperation in all efforts and dialogues to make Nigeria peaceful, secure and forward moving provided they are organised in a way that does not subtract from our dignity and value. Once again, we appreciate all your efforts."

Man Remove Condom During Sex Led To Malaysian Lady Making Police Report

A Malaysian lady lodged an unexpected police report after her partner reportedly took off his condom in the midst of their sex escapade.

Chief of Police in Kajang, Assistant Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof, confirmed that the woman made the report on Saturday 20th July, 2019.

The two was reportedly in the act of sexual intercourse in an apartment in Cheras, and before they had sex, the woman was said to have set the conditions that the man, who is a foreigner, must wear a condom.

Although, the man defied the laid down rule/procedures for their sex making, by pulling off the condom while in the midst of their sex making fantasy.

The report further revealed that the woman lodged a complaint because she was afraid of her being risking infection of the deadliest HIV virus. Not only that, but she also felt betrayed by her partner for pulling off the condom and went into her directly.

As at this moment, Asst. Comm Ahmad Dzaffir said that the case will be referred to Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) for further inquiry and action.

We commend the woman for her quick action to report the man who violated her demand which was set before having sex. We hope that the authorities will get to the bottom of this case, while keep the media abreast.

Another Amnesty Programme For Illegal Immigrants Announced By Home Ministry

The Home Ministry had announced another amnesty programme for illegal immigrants in a bid to repatriate undocumented foreigners by the end of the year.

Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the new programme, called "Program Back For Good", is set to run from August 1 to December 31 2019.

"We are giving them a chance to come in voluntarily and pay a compound of only RM700.

"They will also need to obtain proper travel documents, like their passport and special travel passes from their embassies, as well as arrange their own transportation back to their home countries within seven days," he said at a press conference at the Immigration Department headquarters in Putrajaya on Thursday July 18, 2019.

Muhyiddin said the programme would be conducted solely by the Immigration Department, and no middlemen or agents would be involved.

"It is only available in Peninsular Malaysia," he said. When asked about why yet another amnesty programme was launched despite warnings of there will be no second chances after the last amnesty programme, Muhyiddin said he did think about not doing it.

"I am reluctant to be frank (to hold another amnesty programme). While the previous programmes were effective, the number of illegal immigrants in the country is still large.

"Even I don't know how many. So we urge them to take this chance to go back to their own countries and don't come back," he said, adding that those repatriated would be blacklisted.

He also said that there would be no extension to the programme like in the past. "We mean business. Five months is plenty of time.

"Once the new year begins, we will take action against both the illegal immigrants and their employers to the full extend of the law," he said.

Muhyiddin said around 200 officers at about 80 counters at Immigration offices in Peninsular Malaysia were ready to help facilitate the process.

He said the government would not entertain issues like undocumented workers not being paid by their employers and not having money to go home.

"They are here illegally. We are not going to help settle their salary dispute," he said.

The last amnesty programme, called "3+1 amnesty programme" ran from 2014 to August last year with 840,000 illegal immigrants repatriated and RM400mil in compounds collected.

Presidency Seek Thorough Investigation Over Death Of Nigerian Student In Custody

Mrs. Abike Dabiri Erewa
Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Dabiri Erewa, has called on the Nigerian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to open an investigation over the death of a Nigerian PhD student, Thomas Orhions Ewansiha in immigration custody.

Mr. Thomas, aged 34, who was undergoing his PhD program at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia, was reported to have died in detention, leaving behind his wife and two kids.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia, had on Friday, confirmed that the Nigerian student died in its custody.

Ewansiha, according to the Director General of the agency, Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud, had been detained during a raid on July 4 2019 at about 10:45pm at Desa Aman Puri area in Damansara.

"The subject (Ewansiha) also fled but was successfully arrested by operation officers. The subject then presented his passport and checks showed that he has a student pass that was still valid," Dzaimee Daud was quoted to have said in a statement made available to some print media.

"The subject's action in fleeing had raised doubts about the authenticity of the student pass that was owned by him," the immigration DG said.

He said that 20 foreigners, including Ewansiha, had been detained after the July 4 raid, adding that all of them were brought to the Kuala Lumpur immigration office, before being sent to the Bukit Jalil immigration depot on July 5, 2019.

The Director General claimed that Ewansiha was treated for old wounds but on Tuesday, around 12:05 midnight July 9, 2019, the officer on duty was informed by other detainees that the subject suddenly had a seizure while sleeping, which led to his death.

On Friday, the university announced Ewansiha's death on its Twitter page, stating that it learnt of the tragedy on Thursday.

But Dabiri, in a chat with our correspondent on Friday evening, expressed worry over the detention of the late Ewansiha, in spite of his valid student pass status.

"I urge the Nigerian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur to open an investigation over the death of Ewansiha. We must ensure that the welfare of our countrymen in Malaysia is not compromised," she said.

Wife Of Nigerian PhD Student Who Died In Custody In Malaysia Speak Out

Mr. Thomas Orhions Ewansiha (Deceased PhD Student)
A lady by name Blessing, wife of the deceased student in Malaysia, Mr. Thomas Orhions Ewansiha, who was reported to have died inside immigration cell in Malaysia, has said her husband was "murdered while in custody."

Blessing alleged that the Edo State born and father of two children was murdered while in the detention lockup of the Malaysian immigration authorities.

The Malaysian authorities however, claimed that the Nigerian suffered a seizure while he was in immigration detention, and that he died in the course of being attended to.

The autopsy that was reportedly carried out on Ewansiha did not sit well with his wife.

"After my husband's death, he was taken to a hospital where they carried out an autopsy. Both sides of his neck were cut down to his chest and lower abdomen. They tore the upper and lower parts of his body without our consent.

"No Nigerian, no family member was there. They don't have any right to do that. It is suspicious and that is why we want to perform a fresh autopsy on him," she said in a statement to NewsElites in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She faulted the narrative allegedly put up by the Malaysian Immigration Services. She said, was "a concerted effort to conceal what really transpired and a grand effort to hide their role in the proximate cause of his death."

Ewansiha, a 34 year old PhD student of Management at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology was said to have been arrested on July 4, 2019 at Desa Aman Puri area of Damansara and he died 5 days later.

His wife also confirmed that Ewansiha, who held a valid student visa at the time of his arrest, had obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Malaysia.

The Nigerian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur had, on 12 July, 2019, said it was engaging with Malaysian Immigration Authorities and awaiting the result of the autopsy report.

"The High Commission has also taken note of the concerns of Nigerians in Malaysia. The High Commission assures that necessary steps are being taken towards addressing the unfortunate incidence, with a view to redress and prevent such occurrences in the future," said the High Commission.

But Blessing Ewansiha said her husband was tortured to death by Malaysian immigration officials.

She said, "The immigration officers on raid came in private vehicles and there was nothing to identify them as immigration officers because they were not in uniform.

"They rushed out of their various vehicles, holding sticks and they were chasing Nigerians.

"My husband's car was parked close by, so he was about rushing into his car and that was when they held him and handcuffed him alongside others that were arrested.

"Even with a valid visa on him, they took him away and locked him up and the immigration office didn't inform the University nor the Nigerian High Commission until he died in their custody.

"Mr. Thomas Orhions Ewansiha, who just visited Edo State in Nigeria, apparently wanted to share the experiences of his visit to Nigeria and deliver some messages from loved ones back home to his fellow countrymen also living in Malaysia.

"On arrival at the destination, he called his friend who stayed in one of the apartments to meet him at a particular restaurant as he wanted to have his dinner since he came from afar.

"While waiting for his meal, immigration officers in a commando-style operation swooped in on him in what was later discovered to be a raid on the neighborhood of black immigrants. Being confused of what is going on, he decided to move towards his car as he was held in the process.

"He was shocked, but remained calm, knowing fully well that he had all his necessary documents and permits intact. Within the commotion that took place, Ori Baba (Thomas Orhionsefe Ewansiha) was beaten, manhandled and handcuffed. He was forced to sit on the floor while the immigration officers raided other apartments, finally arresting over 20 black immigrants.

"My husband tried in vain to explain to the mean-looking immigration officers that he had his valid papers on him and was, indeed, a responsible and insurance paying immigrant with no blemish on his record.

"He told them how he came to Malaysia to study, got his B.Sc from Twintech International University College of Technology Malaysia, M.Sc from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Malaysia and currently doing his PhD at same Limkokwing University, Malaysia."

Blessing said that all entreaties were ignored and he was taken into custody.

She faulted the narrative put up by the Malaysian Immigration Services, which she said, showed a concerted effort to "conceal what really transpired and a grand effort to hide their role in the proximate cause of his death."

Quoting the Director General of Malaysian Immigration, Datuk Khairul Daud, Blessing added: "An officer on duty at the Bukit Jalil immigration depot was alerted at around 12:05am on July 9, 2019 by other detainees, telling him that Thomas experienced a seizure during his sleep, which was then followed by immediate medical treatment by a special treatment unit on duty, as well as further assistance from an ambulance that arrived at 12:30am before he was verified as dead.

"Daud claimed that an autopsy was being awaited to determine the cause of Thomas Orhions Ewansiha's death."

Bar Malaysia Question Death Of A Nigerian PhD Student In Custody

Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor (President Malaysian Bar)
The Malaysian Bar has called for an inquest into the death of a Nigerian doctorate student at an Immigration Department depot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The deceased Mr. Thomas Orhions Ewansiha 33, is said to have died from seizure while asleep at the Immigration detention depot in Bukit Jalil on 9 July 2019.

The president of Malaysian Bar, Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor said one death in custody was one too many.

"It matters not whether the person is a citizen or non-citizen. However, the way we view the matter is that a human life has been lost.

"In addition, every death in custody tarnishes the image of the enforcement agency involved and entire country," he said in a statement on Tuesday 16 July, 2019.

Abdul Fareed said everyone bore the collective shame from deaths resulting from detention or enforcement by government agencies.

Malaysian Bar urged the government to expeditiously conduct an inquest into Ewansiha's death and to determine if his death was accelerated by any unlawful act.

"No enforcement agencies should seek to absolve itself of any wrongdoing merely on the basis that the person who died in custody was not subject to physical abuse.

"The detaining authority owes a duty of care to each and every person that they arrest and detain," he said. Adding that the detaining authority had to ensure that the detained person was sufficiently monitored and that nothing untoward happened during the period of detention.

Abdul Fareed said the onus of showing that the discharge of such duty of care was upon the enforcement agency.

"The issue of exoneration will be for the courts to determine.

"No stone should be left upturned to uncover the circumstances that led to Ewansiha's death, so as to prevent the occurrence of any further deaths in custody," he said.

He also called upon the government to adopt and comply with the United Nation's Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners, also known as the Nelson Mandela Rules, with regard to the operation of all detention centers in Malaysia, including immigration detention centers and prisons.

"In light of this tragic incident, the time has come to do away with archaic provisions that entrench discrimination against foreigners in our Federal Constitution," he said.

Abdul Fareed said the Malaysian Bar calls on the government to immediately introduce a Bill in Parliament to remove the second proviso in Article 5(4) of the Federal Constitution.

"The provision which allows non-citizens to be detained for up to 14 days for an immigration related offence before being brought before a magistrate is repugnant to natural justice and unacceptable in this modern day and age.

"All it does is to prevent the courts from having immediate oversight and supervision of immigration related detained persons.

"A 14-day period to verify someone's citizenship status may have made sense in 1957, but not in 2019," he said.

Nigeria's President Buhari Says He Is Under Pressure To Name Cabinet

Muhammadu Buhari (Nigeria's President)
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday night pleaded with the leadership of the National Assembly to give him more time for him to compile list of ministerial nominees.

Buhari also told the presiding and principal officers of the nation's federal legislative arm of government that he was under pressure to nominate members of his cabinet.

This is as the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has denied that he said the presidency promised to send the ministerial list to the Red Chamber this week.

A source at the dinner hosted by the President for the leadership of the National Assembly mid-wife by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang at the Presidential Villa hinted that the President at the dinner requested that he should be given some time for him to come up with the ministerial nominees.

According to the source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, "Mr. President said we should give him more time for him to compile the list of ministerial nominees."

Buhari was said to have noted that most of the ministers he appointed in his first tenure were not known to him, adding that this time around, he wanted to appoint those he knows, have confidence in and that have the capacity to deliver.

It was gathered that President Buhari during the closed door dinner said he was under tremendous pressure to release the ministerial list.

He said: "Many at this dinner meeting are saying they want to see the list of the proposed cabinet so that they can go on leave peacefully.

"Am very much aware about it, am under tremendous pressure on it. But the last cabinet which I headed, most of them, the majority of them I didn't know them. I had to accept the names and recommendations from the party and other individuals.

"I worked with them for three and half years at least, meeting twice or two weeks in a month. So I know them.

"But this time around, am going to be quite me, me in the sense that I will pick people I personally know."

Speaking with State House correspondents after the meeting, the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan said the Senate was yet to receive ministerial list from Mr. President.

According to him, ministerial list was not submitted at dinners contrary to speculations that the President would unveil the ministerial nominees at the dinner.

The Senate President explained that he didn't promise Nigerians that the ministerial list would be forwarded to the senate this week.

When asked if he was now in possession of the ministerial list, he said "Well, I came for a dinner and the process of receiving list is not at dinners. That is all I have to say about this."

Reminded that he promised Nigerians that the list will get to the Senate this week, he said: "I never did. Let me take this opportunity to correct that. A senator raised a point of order under personal explanation and he said we (the senate) should be sent the list of ministers by the executive arm of government.

"And in my response, I said the executive is working so hard to ensure that the list of Nigerians that will help this Administration work is going to be constituted, we could even receive it this week.

"Could is conditional and I will urge everybody here to report it as it is."

It was gathered that the Presidency was shocked on Wednesday, when it was reported that the senate president announced that the ministerial list would be sent to the senate this week.

One of the top aides of the president in the villa, said he was shocked by the senate president's announcement.

"Ministerial list this week? I don't know anything regarding that. What I know that has been sent was the president request for approval of his special adviser," he said, pleading not to be named.

Those at the dinner included the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, Abdullahi Yahaya - Majority Leader, Ajayi Borofice - Deputy Leader, Orji Uzor Kalu - Chief Whip and Sabi Abdullahi - Deputy Chief Whip.

Others were Emmanuel Bwacha, Deputy Minority leader, Phillip Aduda - Minority Whip, Sabi Wau - Deputy Minority Whips.

Also present were Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Majority leader, House of Representatives, Ndudi Godwin Elumelu - Minority Leader, Toby Okechukwu - Deputy Minority Leader and Nkeiru Onyejocha, Deputy Whip.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Ita Enang, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha were also in attendance.

PKR VP Says No Room For Custodial Death In The New Malaysia

Chang Lih Kang (VP of PKR)
I am extremely shocked to learn about the death of Thomas Orhions Ewansiha, a Nigerian PhD student, while he was detained at the Bukit Jalil immigration depot.

Ewansiha was among 20 foreigners who were picked up in an operation on July 4 2019, according to the immigration department, he was held for 14 days for further investigations.

In accordance to the spirit of reforms, the Pakatan Harapan government should order an inquest on the death immediately.

"There is no room for custodial death in the New Malaysia."

No life shall be deprived, let alone the poor man who was only investigated under immigration laws.

I would also like to urge the government to amend the Immigration Act and the standard operating procedures (SOP) of immigration enforcement, under Section 51 of the Immigration Act, immigration officers are permitted to detain any foreigner for 14 days, before producing them before a Magistrate.

The long and unchecked remand period has given uncalled-for room for few evil minded officers to abuse their power and extort bribes. It is ridiculous for a government agency of a modern country to take a fort-night to verify simple document. The unreasonably long remand period has degraded the efficiency of the supposedly able immigration department. It has also increased government expenditure unnecessarily by over-crowding the detention facilities.

As a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defense and Home Affairs, I will bring the matter up in the coming committee meeting.

An improvement in the current immigration enforcement SOP is badly needed to ensure the good name of our immigration department.

Professor Bola Warns Malaysia To Stop The Attacks On Nigerians In It's Country

Prof. Bola Akinterinwa
Prof. Bola Akinterinwa, a former Director General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, has urged the Federal Government to initiate efforts to halt the continued attacks on Nigerians abroad.

He lamented that Nigerians abroad continued to be the target of attacks because they were not protected by the nation's foreign policy.

Pro. Akinterinwa spoke during an interview with the press on Saturday while reacting to the death of a Nigerian PhD student by name Thomas Orhions Ewansiha at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia said on Friday that Ewansiha was arrested but died in their custody, a development which sparked outcry and a call for an investigation into the death.

Akinterinwa said, "Most importantly, the reason why Nigerians abroad are targeted for attacks is that the foreign policy of the government of Nigeria as of today is unnecessarily over-reactive. We react but we never protect, there is no initiative to protect Nigerians abroad.

"Many Nigerians have been targeted without committing any offence. While we have Nigerians who engage in criminal travels, most Nigerians are not in that category.

"Thanks to Abike Dabiri, who has been taking the matter more seriously, but the Foreign Ministry has not been talking about it. If they are doing so, then I will say silent or quiet diplomacy is not the best approach in this matter. I am not saying it should be gunboat diplomacy."

A Nigerian identified as Christopher, who reacted on the Internet, said Nigerians had become chickens in foreign lands. He wrote: "They simply take any at will for breakfast and nothing happens. This is a big shame to our government. This trend will continue until this sluggish giant wakes up from her perpetual slumber."

Another Nigerian under the name, Iyajelili said online that haters of Nigerians would say the deceased deserved it without thinking that such comment would further aid those attacking Nigerians abroad to continue.

He said: "Yet, these people will ask why the Nigerian government is not helping Nigerians in foreign prisons. No one is supporting crime or criminal act but the truth is that not all Nigerians inside and outside prisons are criminals."

Nigerian Who Returned Back Home From Malaysia, Escape Death From Brother

Victor Akalanze
A Nigerian who has lived in Malaysia for some years, returned back to his father-land, and escape death from the hands of his blood brother.

The victim narrates his ordeal to those asking questions about his sudden changes and series of injuries on his head and face. He answered all the questions to inform the general public what he had pass through in the hands of his blood brother upon arriving in Nigeria from Malaysia.

He advise his followers never to check up on their generator when it goes off at night, the Nigerian man revealed that he underwent 2 major brain surgeries after the attack by his brother 3 months ago.

He narrates: "The disadvantage of being a Nigerian? You Rich or Poor you are in trouble. Family and outsiders hate you for living abroad. This is for a lot of people, customers, friends that always ask why my face change."

"My face change because I survived death 3 months ago. On the 2 March up until 1 May 2019."

My face change because I undergo 2 major brain surgery not too long ago. Being a Nigerian living abroad, makes you a heavy target once you travel back home. I drag my life out from the hands of death with the help of God and money. I undergo two brain surgery, medication, two different specialist hospital admission and bills not cheap in Nigeria at all.

In my own case, my younger brother that I have send to abroad 3 times with my hard earn money and he refused to survive there, instead returned back to Nigeria and living in my house, eat my food, wearing my clothes from my shop and driving my cars. He decided killing me was his best option.

This is practically the summary of what I can pinned down to his anger towards me, with the plan of killing me and claim my property.

Now you know my story as to what happen to me.

Please if you see me on the road on in my shop or anywhere else, stop asking me why I got scars and bruises on my face and why my face changed. Its indeed very hard to always tell different people the same story all the time, which will always makes your wounds fresh again and again.

My name is Victor Akalanze and this is the story of my scar-face.

UPU Asia President Frown At Human Traffickers And Gave Stern Warning To Agents In Malaysia

Olorogun Ejiroghene Omonemu (President UPU Asia)
The President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Asia, Chief Ejiroghene Omonemu's attention has been drawn to the most inhuman practice, forceful prostitution.

A practice where young girls from Africa, including some of Urhobo origin are lured to Malaysia (Asia) with the promise of greener pastures and furthering their education, most times these are tactics of deceit by some unscrupulous elements that have constituted themselves into a cartel solely for the purpose of this despicable practice.

For the avoidance of doubt and in the interest of the general public, we want to categorically states that, call it forced labor or sexual slavery or commercial sexual exploitation is not part of the URHOBO DNA and CULTURE. This practice is unethical to the dignity and culture of the Urhobo nation, hence we strongly condemn it.

As a responsible group Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Asia, will not hesitate to report to the authorities any case of human trafficking it has knowledge of for proper action.

We hereby encourage any present victim in Malaysia to contact the Urhobo Progress Union, to enable them regain total freedom, and those that plan to return back home, will be guided and assisted, those that want to settle legally in Malaysia will as well be guided and supported while setting up for a more decent and better life.

To this regard, we urge our members to dissociate themselves from this unwholesome and unworthy practice.

This is without prejudice to further steps we shall take to preserve the integrity of the Urhobo Nation.

While affirming this stand, Chief. Ejiroghene immediately setup a 5-man committee to fish out any Urhobo daughters that are involved in any form of human trafficking in Malaysia.

As he continue sounding his voice, he gave a pro-founding statement, "anyone who continue to traffic Urhobo girls into Malaysia for the purpose of prostitution, such person should consider their money spent (investment) as they rightly call it, such investment is a wasteful and total loss".

The union will work with the Nigerian High Commission, authorities in Nigeria and the Malaysian authorities to fish out those girls and have them deported back to Nigeria with no room for any sort of negotiations or any form of compensation.

Nigerian Phd Student With Valid Visa Died Inside Immigration Detention Cell, Nigerians In Malaysia Dismayed

Thomas Orhons Ewansiha (Deceased)
Nigerians in Malaysia have echoed out their voices as they cried out that it's High Commission in Malaysia has ignored it citizens. They calling for the commission to be filled with good working personnel or be shut down.

The public outburst of many Nigerians residing in Malaysia increase for days now after the passing of a Nigerian by name Thomas Orhons Ewansiha (Nigerian). Thomas is said to be a Phd student at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) reported died after being detained by the Malaysian Immigration despite a valid visa shown by the deceased.

This recent incident which a Nigerian has died once again, has spark up series of anger of the unfair treatment of Nigerians/Africans by the Malaysian police/immigration agencies.

Upon listening to some Nigerians, they stated that many of them have being going through a lot of unbearable treatment for quite some time now, yet there isn't any positive concerns by the Nigerian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Nigerians in Diapora Organisation Malaysia (NIDOMY), an organisation body that oversees the welfare of Nigerians living in Malaysia, also felt the level of it's High Commission's involvement of engaging it's host country's authority is not enough and the commission's position has equally caused a barrier to NIDOMY from carrying out it's duties and standing up for Nigerians in Malaysia.

The organisation's executive explained that valid document cannot be checked on the spot by it's executives in cases that involve Nigerians. Although, the Nigerian High Commission has not being helpful in this area to provide the necessary support as they turned a blind eye to most of the issues being faced by Nigerians in Malaysia.

In togetherness while voicing out their worries, Nigerians in Malaysia have echoed by saying it's High Commission in the country has failed in many areas as to what they called "total neglect" of it citizens well-being.

With many other occasions noted that Nigerian nationals are being detained by Malaysia government despite most of them having valid resident permits of various kind required. This is not right at all, many Nigerians is said to have been in lockup for many years without any visitation from officials of the High Commission.

This issue has raised serious concerns about the health/safety/security of Nigerians in Malaysia. An angry Nigeria in one of many voice notes going viral on social media platforms, stated that "once you are a Nigerian, it does not matter if you have valid documents or not, you will be detailed for nothing less than two (2) weeks." Together with torture, and being kept in an overcrowded cell or lockup like a condemned criminal. We can't take this sort of ill treatment anymore, he said.

Nigerians in Malaysia has presently recorded over ten (10) deaths due to immigration raids within the past six months. There are also cases of many Nigerians whom were detained and died without any proper explanation as to what led to their death.

The death of man Nigerians in Malaysia is so pathetic and we won't stop speaking out until our voices are heard. We implore the Nigerian government to take immediate action to these numerous cruel incidence.

Hussain Discovered Shocking Things That Made His Wife Stab Him In Kano

Mr. Sa'id Hussain & Wife Fatima Musa
This incident about Sa'id Hussain, his 21 year old wife Fatima Musa almost killed him by stabbing him, has finally recovered to narrate and reveal his own side of the story.

The incident occurred at 1:30am on June 22 at the couple's residence at Unguwar Mai Kalwa, Naibawa, Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, according to report.

The family of the wife had earlier painted a picture of self defense and released a video of injuries inflicted on her by him (Sa'id) before she escaped to pick a knife and stab him.

Fatima, a student of Law at Bayero University Kano (BUK), was immediately arrested by the police.

But at a press conference he organised in his residence, Mr. Hussain accused his wife of infidelity and denied accusations of him beating his wife.

"I caught my wife dancing indecently in my parlor (sitting room) where she was recording the dance on her phone and sending the video clips to her boyfriends," he narrates to journalists.

"I told her mother about it and she asked me if my wife's elder sister and grandmother knew what was happening and she pleaded with me not to reveal it to anyone so as not to soil the image of their family.

"Also I challenge one of the boyfriends with whom my wife was exchanging voice notes but said he was not aware that my wife was a married woman.

"This is one of over 30 voice messages I found," he said, turning on a recorded audio conversation he had with his wife's alleged boyfriend on phone.

"I also have evidence on how my wife invited her lover from Abuja and had a session with him in a hotel in Bompai, which name I will not reveal. She did this precisely on 26th April, 2016 while being married. She was at the hotel from 10:13am and stayed up until 12:16pm. And the CCTV camera of that hotel captured this information am talking about now.

"Also on that same day, Friday, I caught her taking drugs in my house. She was taking Shisha with some substances that include high concentration of narcotic. During the last Ramadan fast, she sprinkled drops of poisonous insecticides in my food, a meal of fried eggs. I have the evidence of that too.

"When the problem became so serious, we had to seek audience with Dr. Bashir (Umar), chief Imam of Al-Furqan Jumuat Mosque, who is a well respected marriage counselor in order to get advise and save the marriage.

"We went to see Dr. Bashir along with my wife, her mother and her elder brother in my car. I narrated all my accusations against her including her infidelity, promiscuity and drug abuse which she admitted all to Dr. Bashir.

"But it was on the same day after we returned home that she stabbed me with a knife after I seized her phone, which she used to send her naked pictures and videos to her boyfriends. I was already in bed when she picked two knives from her kitchen and came to the room. She sat in front of my bed, with her back facing the mirror as if she was meditating. At that moment, she raised the first knife and stabbed me on the side of my stomach and then threw the knife behind her.

"I woke up fully to see her raising the second knife to strike me but I attempted to hold her hand, getting injured in the process. This is the scar as you can see.

"She raised the knife again to strike me but I dodged, forcing the knife to sink into the mattress. At that moment, I stood up and held her hand in an attempt to seize the knife. She bit my hand during the struggle, warning me to release her. It was in this struggle that I pushed her and she fell and hit her head against the side drawer and subsequently on the rough floor tiles which made her face swollen.

"It was not true that we fought in the kitchen. The trail of blood stains could be seen on from the floor of my room to the parlor.

"Therefore I challenge her family members from both her mother's and father's side to bring any evidence that I was beating their daughter everyday. The video clip they were circulating were from the scene of this particular incident we are talking about.

"So, my friend Lawali rescued me on that day with the help of Allah and took me to the hospital. As he was holding my feet while I was writhing in pains, the third face I saw on me was that of my mother-in-law and I warned her not to touch me. My friend Ustaz can testify to this.

"I complained to her that she was aware of my wife's promiscuous behavior and her attempt to poison me but they didn't take action. At hearing this, my mother-in-law started gesturing to me to keep quiet, pleading with me not to expose her daughter's bad behavior to the world.

"Before leaving the hospital, my mother-in-law sought for permission from my friend Ustaz to privately see and discuss with her daughter."

Making reference to Zainab Sanda saga and how evidence is allegedly destroyed by wife's family, he said the family of his wife concocted the story of wife battery in order to make their daughter the victim and portray him in bad light.

"There was a similar case in Abuja where husband died. So my mother-in-law conspired with her daughter to destroy evidence and sponsor campaigns of calumny against my person on social media.

"They sponsored video clips and other materials in which I was accused of alcoholism, drug abuse and wife beating. This was done in order to tarnish my image and make me look like I was wicked so that my wife would get public sympathy. But I have evidence of their daughter's immorality, unfaithfulness and drug use," Mr. Hussain said.

When asked if he had ever reported on his wife's alleged immorality to her parents, he said:

"I have been reporting my wife to her parents. And every time I report her, I normally send them the evidence of what she does online. I sent them via Whatsapp to the father and to the mother. If they don't have the records of what I sent, I have them with me.

"These are some of the nude pictures, she normally did videos and send to her boyfriends despite being married," he said, showing video clips of his wife in compromised poses on his phone.

"But the response of the parents is that I should please cover them, I should keep it within myself, I should not expose them because it will tarnish their image. My wife was even exchanging porn videos with some of the friends she has," he said.

Hussain also claimed that he was not aware that his wife was "immoral" before he married her and that even after the marriage he could not discover her strange behavior in time because he didn't have access to her phone.

"Even a day to the marriage, her father sat her down and told her that it was the last opportunity she had to choose a husband. She was asked if she loved me and she answered yes. I gave her gifts which she accepts and even sent me messages. We had a very good courtship," Mr. Hussain said.

Mr. Hussain also said he did not opt for a divorce despite her alleged infidelity because her parents were always giving him hope that things will get better and that he himself was anticipating changes.

"I had no plans to divorce her because as a Muslim I was always anticipating changes. I prayed during the holy month of Ramadan for Allah to make things better between us," he added.
