BREAKING: Tinubu Eliminates the Niger Delta and Sports Ministries and Establishes New Ones.

President Bola Tinubu has abolished the Niger Delta Ministry along with the Ministry of Sports Development. As reported in a tweet by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, this decision was made during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting convened in Abuja on Tuesday. The tweet stated: President Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council have dissolved the Niger Delta Ministry and the Ministry of Sports Development. A new Ministry of Regional Development will be established to supervise all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission. The responsibilities of the Ministry of Sports will be transferred to the National Sports Commission. Additionally, the FEC has sanctioned the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy. These resolutions were adopted during the FEC meeting held today in Abuja.
