How a Commissioner Was Apprehended in an Incomplete Building With a Married Woman

The Commissioner for Special Duties in Jigawa State, Auwal Danladi Sankara, has been apprehended by the Kano State Hisbah Board on allegations of engaging in a sexual relationship with a married woman, identified as Tasleem Baba Nabegu, at an incomplete construction site. Abba Sufi, the Director General of Hisbah, reported that the commissioner was discovered with the mother of two through intelligence gathering, following numerous complaints from the younger brother of the woman's husband. The arrest was initiated after a formal complaint was lodged by Nasiru Bulama, the husband of Tasleem Baba Nabegu, who accused Sankara of maintaining a prolonged affair with his spouse. Bulama had submitted his grievance to the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Hisbah Board. Sankara is set to appear in court on Monday, October 21, where he will confront several charges. Additionally, Hisbah has revealed that Sankara is under investigation for allegedly running illegal drug centers masquerading as hotels, referred to as Picklock and 360. “We have encountered ongoing issues with Sankara due to his operation of illicit drug centers under the guise of hotels, which are associated with prostitution and drug addiction activities,” stated the Hisbah Director General. The commissioner, who has refuted the allegations, is anticipated to undergo legal proceedings concerning both the purported affair and his alleged involvement in unlawful activities.
