The Newly Appointed Acting State Chairman of the Abia State Labour Party Urges Harmony, Peace, and Advancement Among the Party's Adherent Members.

The Chairman of the newly established Abia State Working Committee of the Labour Party, Dr. Prince GO Ndubueze, has expressed his gratitude for the appointments on behalf of his committee members. He acknowledged the divine recognition and extended his thanks to the National Leadership of the Party for their trust and confidence in him to manage the party's affairs within the state. The new State Chairman also conveyed his appreciation to the Governor and leader of the Party in Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, for the opportunity to serve the party at the state level. In addition, he recognized the contributions of the immediate past Acting Chairman of the Party, Sir Emmanuel Nweze Otti, along with his committee members and all Labour Party members in the state. He urged party supporters to maintain composure and avoid exacerbating the political climate with unfounded rumors and statements that do not align with the three core principles of his committee: Peace, Progress, and Prosperity in the state, which will be grounded in the supremacy of the Party and its constitution. He thus calls for the cooperation of Party members and the Obidient family to foster progress and development in the state. The statement articulates: “On behalf of all newly appointed leaders of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the Labour Party Abia State Chapter, I sincerely wish to express my gratitude to the Almighty God for this well-deserved appointment as the Acting State Chairman of our esteemed Party in Abia State. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to our diligent and capable Governor, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), the executive Governor of Abia State and the leader of the Labour Party in the State, for the privilege bestowed upon us to serve. “To the previous leadership of the Labour Party in Abia State under the Acting Chairmanship of Sir Emmanuel Nweze Otti, we are thankful for the opportunity to serve under your guidance. Your efforts have afforded the people of Abia the privilege of having a commendable Governor in the recent general election, along with numerous other victors in various elective positions across the nation during the 2023 elections. We pray that divine providence continues to grant you the strength of good health, wisdom, and the capacity to deliver effective and efficient leadership, which is essential for the growth, reformation, and fortification of Party membership and the OBIDIENT family on a global scale. To all dedicated members of the Labour Party and the OBIDIENT Family in Abia State, we approach you in a spirit of peace, presenting three fundamental objectives: (1) Peace (2) Unity (3) Progress of the Labour Party on a global level. We earnestly seek your cooperation, as we firmly believe in the importance of peace, despite the challenges we may face. With the grace of God, we will strive to ensure that peace prevails, for it is invaluable, and no significant progressive development can occur in an environment of discord. Thus, it is imperative that we all commit to fostering internal cohesion and a unified purpose within our esteemed Party. Regarding the ongoing Local Government elections in the State, we are confident that our Governor, who emerged victorious through a democratic process and embodies the principles of true democracy, will uphold the democratic system to ensure the successful conduct of these elections. In light of the minor inter-party differences and challenges, we trust that the leadership at the highest levels will lend us their ears, as we believe our intervention can facilitate genuine reconciliation and peace within the Labour Party family nationwide. Moreover, we kindly urge all members of the Labour Party, particularly in Abia State, to remain calm and refrain from exacerbating the political climate with rumors and hate speech that do not contribute to peace, progress, and prosperity. All local government leaders of our esteemed Party must prioritize the enforcement of peace, unity, and justice while upholding discipline among party members. This is essential for repositioning the Labour Party from our local wards to the State level.
