Tinubu Advises Nigerians to Purchase Gasoline for N1,000 per liter or CNG for N200 per meter.

President Bola Tinubu has declared that Nigerian drivers now have the option to purchase fuel at N1,000 per liter or select the more economical Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) priced at N200 per Standard Cubic Meter. This announcement was made during a meeting with executives from the Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO) at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday. "Nigerian drivers can choose to buy petrol at N1,000 per liter or the equivalent gas at N200 per Standard Cubic Meter. "We have also implemented incentives for commercial drivers to transition from petrol to gas at no cost," stated Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesman, quoting Tinubu. During the meeting, Tinubu recognized NIPCO's vital contribution to promoting the use of CNG as an alternative fuel source. He further highlighted the importance of adopting CNG to decrease the nation's dependence on petrol and to lower fuel expenses for consumers.
