A Political Group in the North Demands that Goodluck Jonathan Return in 2027.

As the movement advocating for the return of former Nigerian President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan gains traction, several northern leaders have escalated their efforts to support his candidacy for the presidency in 2027. Additionally, a political organization in the northern region, known as the Arewa Consensus for Jonathan, has joined the initiative, urging the former president to participate in the upcoming presidential election. During a press conference held in Bauchi over the weekend, the group's leader, Munir Musa, emphasized the importance of Jonathan's return to address Nigeria's urgent economic and security issues. Musa contended that, amid significant economic challenges and escalating security threats, the nation requires a leader with Jonathan's expertise and capability to restore order. "The country stands at a pivotal moment, and we firmly believe that Goodluck Jonathan is the ideal candidate to guide us out of the current difficulties," Musa stated. He expressed optimism that Jonathan's leadership could mend the nation's deep-seated divisions and pave the way for a new phase of development.
